Can I get my blood drawn without an order?

No, you have to have a Order from your doctor for bloodwork. Usually a doctor will give you an order. If you need an order you can call your doctor and ask them to fax an order to us.

Do you bill my insurance company?

We will fill in your insurance information for the laboratory to bill them as they are the ones who are testing your blood. We collect our fee up front and will not charge your insurance company.

 Why do I need you to draw my blood for a fee when I can just go to a lab?

While it is true you may go to a lab who will charge your insurance, Venistat Mobile Phlebotomy is a concierge service that specializes in obtaining your lab samples in a private setting. This service provides those who are unable to leave their home convenient access to the lab as well people who would like to stay home during the pandemic. As some physicians provide a more private and personalized service for a hefty fee, home draw services is relatively affordable, faster than standing hours at a lab with a mask on, and a much more simple process.

How can I trust that a home draw method is safer?

Our phlebotomist will arrive to your home with a mask on. We will sanitize before and after the venipuncture process. No one touches our products except us, and if you choose to wear a mask as well you may do so. We see far less people per day than a patient service center or hospital which provides less contact and our process is usually around 5-10 mins from start to finish.

I’m concerned about who all will handle my blood and private information.

The demographic information will almost always be filled in on your lab work order, however, if the order does not contain an area to do so we will fill out a demographic and insurance information sheet we provide and return it with your lab work to the lab of your choice. All specimens and HIPPA information will be concealed after leaving your home and taken directly to the lab. Your specimens and information will be handled by less people than usual. It is very important to us to provide EXCELLENT standardized care !

Do you only come out to homes? I would like to be drawn at work.

We do come to private offices, as some people are working. However, most home draws will take place at a patients’ home to provide an environment with less people due to social distancing.
